Hello! I am Chris Beasley and I am excited to be a Knight at Kings Town Elementary School! I love building relationships with students, learning alongside students, sharing my knowledge with them, watching students take risks, and celebrate together when they have reached or exceeded their goals.
I am a South Carolina native, but I have lived in several different regions of the state. As a child I lived in Donalds, South Carolina in Abbeville County. When I was in 4th grade my family moved to (West) Chester, South Carolina in Chester County. While I was in high school my family relocated to Varnville, South Carolina in Hampton County. I now live with my wife (Amy) and my children (Savannah and Carter) in Rock Hill. I love living in York County and all of the things that it has to offer. We have a dog, Leelah, and a cat, Ebby, that we rescued separately in late 2021.
Working with elementary school children at Brunson Elementary School in Brunson, South Carolina while a Wade Hampton High School Teacher Cadet was what really helped direct me into the calling of being a teacher. Winthrop University brought me back to this area and I am grateful for the experiences and opportunities that I have been given in the phenomenal schools where I have worked, but I am most proud of the students that I have had the privilege to learn with and teach throughout the years.
The 2023 - 2024 school year begins my 20th year of teaching children and I am excited for what the year has in store at Kings Town Elementary. GO KNIGHTS!
