Where We've Been...
Where We're Going...
Writing
We will start the school year by getting to know each other as writers. Students will learn about our writing workshop, set up their own writer's notebook, and begin writing a few different writing samples.
Reading
We will begin the year with a quick review of the different genres of stories. We will also look at setting realistic reading goals for ourselves, finding great books, and learning about what good readers do differently.
Word Study
We will begin word study in the coming weeks.
